Full Builds

Every full conversion begins with a conversation. After your initial contact, the JRD Team will schedule a consultation with you to help refine the details of your build and budget. When the Design Team has sufficient information, we will put together a loose estimate fro your build.

Once the rough estimate is approved, we will draw up a two-part contract. Part I of the contract covers design. Upon signing Part I of the contract, we require a $5000 deposit to begin the design portion of the build. The Design Team will meet with you throughout the design process to gather more specific information about your dream build. The design process includes the following stages:

• 2D layout: a floor plan to scale from a birds’ eye view to establish space and movement within

• 3D extrusion: a grayscale model based on your adjustments and approval

• Material render: a 3D render of the build which shows a representation of actual materials being used based on your adjustments and approval

• Systems overview: a finalized list of all systems that are incorporated including an explanation of functionality.

Upon confirming the design, we establish a budget and work order. This is Part II of the contract. Once the contract is signed and a 50% deposit is taken on the total budget, we begin a six-week period in which we order time-sensitive items and schedule your vehicle drop-off date accordingly. We will also schedule a tentative vehicle pick up date 4-6 months from the drop-off date.

Most Full Builds take about 5 months after the vehicle drop off date to complete. This depends on complexity and any change orders that might occur during the build. Due to the nature of custom work, there may be times when the team will ask for your feedback during the build phase. For less complex builds, we may require little communication during the build process.

The final step of the Full Build process is picking up your fully custom vehicle! As we get closer to finishing the build, we will reach out to you to finalize a pick up date based on the tentative date set in part II of the contract.
